International Panel on Climate Change Press Conference November 18

The 1st joint session of IPCC Working Groups I and II will consider the finalization of the Special Report on Managing the Risks of Extreme Events and Disasters to Advance Climate Change Adaptation. In accordance with the IPCC procedures, the Summary for Policymakers (SPM) of the Special Report will be approved line by line by governments and the underlying assessment report, which runs to several hundred pages, will be presented for acceptance. Media representatives are cordially invited to a press conference on 18 November 2011 where the
findings of the Special Report will be presented and the Summary for Policymakers made available.

The 2011 Interim Report from the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change presents an overview ... And this is the information that 's being presented by the "private sector", and it states that global warming will be a good thing. Scientific Study of Climate Change Slow Progression, Climate Change Has Not

This article is from Physics Today, 2003 and explains how science has progressed slowly to discover that climate can change drastically in the course of just a few years....

Days above 90 degrees F.

Today the temperatures were above 90 degrees F., remarkably, for the first time since Spring.  Last year, we had several days that reached into the 90s in April!


With the humidity level, it felt much hotter than this...
Temps reached a low of about 65 over night here last night.

heat tomorrow is expected to be about the same, but Friday is predicted to have rain storms, and cooler temperatures.
Being housebound from heat in June is more common now in Pennsylvania.  It does not make me very happy.  Last summer had the most > 90 F. days on record.
To cool two rooms with electric air conditioners (which consists of having 2 room air conditioners  at 5000 btu's each, running 24 hours most days for about 9 weeks) in order to escape the heat in the summer months is almost as expensive to deal with as heating the entire apartment (with natural gas / hot water) in the winter months... 
I just read where days over 90 degrees are expected to double in the next 80 years throughout the US, with the heat making most of the southern states uninhabitable.

Reality

Polluters and their good buddies in our Congress are trying every legislative tactic to block the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from protecting our health by reducing global warming emissions.

Last month, Representative Poe (R-TX) introduced legislation that would have stopped the EPA from addressing global warming under the Clean Air Act.

The Senate succeeded in temporarily blocking that action, but the U.S. House of Representatives will soon vote on another bill, sponsored by House Energy & Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI), which would do exactly the same thing strip the EPA of its climate authority.

Unfortunately, certain senators are also redoubling their own efforts to undermine the Clean Air Act.

In the next week, Senators Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and John Rockefeller (D-WV) will try to attach legislation to an unrelated small business bill that would either halt or delay EPA climate action.

Sure, do something to help jobs, but tie some evil bullshit to it. These aren't representatives, they're sideshow illusionists.

It also ignores the recent statement signed by more than 2,500 scientists and economists urging Congress to allow the EPA to reduce these harmful emissions. Please write to your legislators today and tell them to stand up for science and public health by opposing these attacks on the Clean Air Act.
